The outdoor light display will transform the LaSalle Civic Center every night at 6 p.m., through January 9, with ornamental displays, holiday lighting, and a 40-foot Christmas tree.

“We look forward to showcasing the LaSalle Civic Center for the holidays with an outdoor light display,” Mayor Marc Bondy said in a press release. “This annual outdoor event will bring the parties to life at LaSalle as we celebrate the magic of the season.”

Every weekend from November 26 to December 19, the city will also host Food Truck Fridays, Sounds of the Season Saturdays, and Sunday night markets. Santa Claus will make a special appearance.

“This event complements our strong community activities as we expand into the mid-fall and winter season,” said Scott Bisson, culture and recreation manager. “We welcome the community and visitors to our events in a safe manner.”

COVID-19 protocols will be implemented, including wearing a mask at all times and physical distancing.

In addition, vendors and visitors to the Sunday Night Markets will need to provide proof of vaccination, as the event will take place inside the civic center building.

More information and a full calendar of events will be available in mid-November on the city’s website at lasalle.ca/holidaylights.
