This is what the club playing in Raleigh said on its Twitter account on Sunday.

The former player of the Montreal Canadiens is currently playing his first campaign in the uniform of the “Canes”, he who accepted a hostile offer from this formation last summer.

In 42 games so far in 2021-22, the 21-year-old Finn has hit the target nine times and provided 11 assists for 20 points. He thus maintained his best points-per-game average since playing in the National Hockey League.

The Hurricanes are scheduled to return to action Monday night, visiting the Maple Leafs in Toronto. Due to the Bettman League All-Star Game hiatus, they haven’t played since Jan. 30.

Also Jack Hughes

Later in the day, the New Jersey Devils announced that forward Jack Hughes found himself in the same situation as Kotkaniemi.

The latter tested positive for COVID-19 after returning from Vegas, where he took part in the All-Star Game.

Hughes was removed from practice held by the Devils at the Prudential Center.

The first overall pick of the 2019 amateur auction is the second best scorer on his team with 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points in 28 games this season.

The Devils are scheduled to take on the Ottawa Senators on Monday night in a game at Canadian Tire Centre.
