“After a couple of years of COVID-19 outages, we were looking for a way to communicate positivity and hope to the community,” said Marijo Cuerrier, executive director of BIA.

The new lineup will continue to include classics such as the Ice Rink at Springer Market Square, Febfest and Nighttime Santa Parade, which takes place on Saturday, November 20.

Other notable events like Santa’s Village, the addition of winter patios at select downtown restaurants, and a window decorating contest, will also be on the agenda for the next several weeks.

The new winter program begins on November 19 with what the BIA calls “Holiday Friday,” when downtown businesses will deliver special gifts from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
