King Felipe VI, accompanied by Queen Letizia, has presided this Thursday in the Plaza de la Armería of the Royal Palace the second State tribute to the victims of the coronavirus, which, in this edition, pays special tribute to health professionals, specifically those who have died from the pandemic, as well as the elderly, the ‘pioneers’ of vaccination.

The Government has attended in plenary session with the exception of the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande Marlaska, who has a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Interior of the EU. The regional presidents have excused their presence, the Lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu, the Catalan, Pere Aragonès, and the Extremaduran, Guillermo Fernández Vara. Nor has Vox gone.
