According to the The Prime Minister’s Office, Trudeau will make a 10:30 am announcement regarding tax cuts for small businesses

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be in Edmonton Tuesday for a handful of budget-related announcements.

According to the The Prime Minister’s Office, Trudeau will make a 10:30 am announcement regarding tax cuts for small businesses. Minister of Tourism and Associate Minister of Finance and Edmonton Center MP, Randy Boissonnault will also be in attendance.

At noon, Trudeau and Boissonnault will meet with a local small business to further highlight supports for businesses.

Later in the afternoon, Trudeau is scheduled to meet with members of the local Ukrainian and Afghan communities before visiting a nature-based solutions lab to highlight investments in green technologies at 2:30 pm.

Trudeau was in Victoria, BC Monday to promote his Liberal government’s plans to make it easier for more Canadians to drive electric vehicles. The 2022 budget includes $400 million over five years to expand charging infrastructure. Trudeau also said he isn’t ruling out nuclear power as a cleaner source of energy, saying, “Nuclear’s on the table, absolutely.”
