The Bon Jovi frontman, who is fully vaccinated, ruled out his performance in Miami Beach hours before he took the stage after learning of his diagnosis.

His spokesperson confirmed: “Jon is fully vaccinated and feeling fine.”

Fans had reportedly already been admitted to Loews South Beach for the Runaway with JBJ event before being informed that Jon would be unable to perform.

The singer’s backing band, Kings of Suburbia, also chose not to perform out of “too much caution.”

The spokesperson added: “This was a Runaway concert, which means it’s a smaller, more intimate acoustic type show for the higher echelons of its fan club, so it’s backed on these by a group of musicians called the kings of the suburbs (sic), not Bon Jovi, and as a precaution they did not act without Jon. “

Bon Jovi’s brother, Matt Bongiovi, told the Asbury Park Press that the rocker “feels great,” but that he would go to bed instead of performing.

Jon experienced a COVID-19 scare last year when his 18-year-old son, Jacob, tested positive for the virus, along with Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan and percussionist Everett Bradley.
