Jalisco will reinforce security in limits with Colima


Guadalajara, Jalisco. Due to the increase in violence in the neighboring state of Colima, authorities from the three levels of government agreed to reinforce security in the seven municipalities that border Jalisco, reported Governor Enrique Alfaro.

During the meeting of the Executive Commission of the State Security Councilauthorities of the three levels agreed to establish a coordination mechanism between the Mexican Army, the National Guard, the Secretary of the Navy and the Secretary of State Security.

Alfaro Ramírez commented that he has already established communication with the governor of ColimaIndira Vizcaíno Silva, to express the solidarity and support of the state for the moments that this entity is going through and clarified that the reinforcement of security in the border area does not mean preventing the transit of goods or people.

“We are not going to talk about shielding, it is about adjusting the strategies to guarantee the free transit of goods and the safety of citizens. We decided at the table to review this strategy, we are going to reinforce our presence in some municipalities,” he explained. the Jalisco president.

The border area between Jalisco and Colima It is made up of the municipalities of Cihuatlán, Cuautitlán de García Barragán, Tolimán, Tonila, Tuxpan, Pihuamo and Zapotitlán de Vadillo.



“We want to send a clear message that we are aware of the issue, that there is coordination with the government of Colima to face together a challenge that does not belong to one state or another, it is a shared challenge, just as we have done it in a very effective under the coordination of the Mexican Army in the limits with Zacatecas and Michoacán, now we are going to review it in the case of Colima”, highlighted the governor of Jalisco.
