Jalisco will invest more than 6,000 million pesos in health infrastructure

Guadalajara, Jalisco. The Government of Jalisco announced an investment of 6,160 million pesos in health infrastructure for the next three years (2022-2024), with the aim of providing coverage to 100% of the population.

Governor Enrique Alfaro clarified that the resource will be used for the construction, reconstruction or rehabilitation -as required- of the hospitals Y health centers from across the state.

Alfaro Ramírez stressed that said investment will be made with budget reallocations, and with multi-year programming of state collection corresponding to 2022, 2023 and 2024, so no new debt will be contracted for these projects.

“Not a single peso of debt is going to be acquired, that is very important to clarify, it is a reprogramming of this year’s budget and it is a multi-year programming of the 2023 and 2024 budget,” said the Jalisco president.

Enrique Alfaro pointed out that in order to finish all the works in the next three years, they will be put out to tender this year through open calls.

“With this plan we seek to be able to close all the health infrastructure works that we need to have Jalisco as a leading state in its public health system; at the end of the six-year term, there must be general coverage,” said Enrique Alfaro.

Among the works that will be carried out with the indicated budget, there are buildings in the Civil Hospital of Oriente in Tonalá, to which 885 million pesos will be injected; the General Hospital of Miramar with 800 million, the Zoquipan Hospital with 200 million for its maternal and child area, and the Fray Antonio Alcalde hospital with 268 million pesos.
