Izzi users will have more public spaces to connect to the internet

The telecommunications company Televisa Group announced that it will expand its free Wi-Fi connection network for customers by 20%, so now they will have many more izzi spots in all the country.

With this measure, the operator seeks to benefit its customers outside their home or business with access to a free internet connection from any device in more than six thousand public places.

The company run by Jose Antonio Gonzalez Anaya reported that more than 1.2 million of its subscribers connect month after month to an izzi spot placed in hundreds of public places, which represents an increase of 100 percent compared to the end of last year.

A trend that the company wants to maintain with the expansion of its infrastructure.

It should be noted that in recent months, the Mexican telecommunications operator has increased its presence nationwide, taking its services to cities such as Guadalajara, Toluca, Durango and Mazatlán, which today it also seeks to benefit from izzi spots.

Another aspect that the operator highlighted is the increase in devices connected to its free Wi-Fi network. In 2021, the average number of devices connected by its customers was 1.5 per user and so far this year up to three devices per subscriber have been registered, which shows the quality of the connection that the izzi spots provide.

To date, izzi’s WiFi access network is available in 29 states in the country and more than 200 municipalities. Among the places to connect to this network are airports, shopping centers, restaurants, self-service stores, parks, cafeterias, public service stations, museums and schools, among others.

Subscribers connect through the izzi-app and it is automatically linked to one of the connection points of the izzi spots WiFi network, located in one of the places mentioned above. To know the location of the more than six thousand izzi spots, users You can also consult the following page.
