News of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback calling it quits after 22 seasons was reported by several NFL insiders on Saturday, but Brady, his agent and his father were quick to deny the news.

Sources told The Associated Press that Brady has not made up his mind, while his father, Tom Brady Sr. told Bay Area news station KRON4 that his son is not retiring from football.

Meanwhile, ESPN insider Adam Schefter, who originally reported that Brady was retiring, tweeted a statement from agent Don Yee hours later.

“I understand the advance speculation about Tom’s future. Without getting into the accuracy or inaccuracy of what’s being reported, Tom will be the only person to express his plans with complete accuracy, ”the statement read.

So, is Brady retiring? Social media did its best to sift through the confusion.
