The Minister of Equality, Irene Montero, has condemned this Monday the “macho” aggression perpetrated by four young men on a woman when she was returning home, at dawn on Sunday, in a neighborhood of Vitoria.
“All my support for the woman who has suffered sexist aggression in Vitoria and condemns the aggressors “, Montero wrote in a tweet about this event that occurred in the Batán area, in the Mendizorroza neighborhood, where the victim was injured as a result of the attack and had to receive healthcare in the hospital.
The minister has indicated that “no woman should be afraid to go home alone“and has stressed that his department will continue working” to ensure that the street and the night are also ours. “
The City Council of Vitoria has also condemned this “sexist” aggression committed by four individuals, apparently very young, which the Ertzaintza is now trying to identify and stop.
In addition, the consistory has indicated that it joins the acts of condemnation that are convened, such as the one announced for this Monday at 8:00 p.m. by the residents of the Batán area.
