Insabi dismisses giving base positions to personnel who faced the pandemic

The Institute of Health for Wellbeing (Insabi) does not plan to grant permanent places to health personnel who were hired to face the Covid-19 pandemic, according to information from the same institution.

According to a response given by the same institute to a citizen through the transparency system, in the official letter INSABI-UCNAF-CHRRP-912-2021, the Human Resources and Personnel Regularization area of the institution reported that the hiring of personnel to face the pandemic are temporary.

“Regarding the validity of the contract, you are informed that in the context of the actions undertaken by the federal government to attend to this pandemic, Insabi in support of the institutions that provide services to people without social security , has been given the task of hiring in an eventual way and for up to six months to personnel, doctors, paramedics and related groups ”, he indicated.

In the same response, a paragraph later, it was specified that “in relation to … ‘indicate the personnel hired for the health emergency, how many are intended to be granted a permanent place in the public health sector’ and as indicated in In the preceding paragraph, said contracts are of an eventual nature and the behavior of the pandemic is taken into account, so this area in my charge is materially unable to provide the information requested by the petitioner ”.

In his conference on April 22, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador assured that indefinite places would be given to the health personnel he supported to contain the Covid.

“There is a commitment, I reaffirm, that those who were hired in the most difficult moments of the pandemic have the guarantee that they will continue working in the health sector,” he said.

Last week, health workers from Oaxaca blocked the departure, for more than five hours, of Insabi officials, including the same Insabi director, Juan Antonio Ferrer, from their offices in the CDMX in protest of the dismissals in the entity.

After a negotiation in which it was promised to listen to the demands of the protesters, the exit was unlocked.
