Inflation in Mexico reaches its highest level in just over 21 years

The year-on-year inflation rate in Mexico has now been up for a year in a row, registering levels that significantly exceed the target set by the Bank of Mexico (3% +/- one percentage point).

In the first half of April, inflation climbed to 7.72%, above projections, which led analysts to move their expectations for the end of 2022. The national inflation rate is expected to reach up to 8 percent.
