Regina University

Classes at the University of Regina were scheduled to resume on January 5.

Now, all classes are switching to remote learning starting January 10th and running through January 22nd.

University officials said the delay in resuming classes is to give teachers and students time to plan the transition to remote learning.

“This is not how we envision starting the winter term of 2022, but we are hopeful that delaying in-person instruction for two weeks will help the University of Regina resume near-normal operations sooner rather than later, and will allow us to return to the campus in the safest environment possible, ”said U of R President Jeff Keshen.

The university has set a January 24 deadline for resuming classroom learning, but officials said the situation will be reassessed mid-month.

Request COVID-19 measures

USask also requires that anyone attending in-person learning or working on a campus during the winter period be fully vaccinated.

This includes access to facilities such as the PAC, libraries or dining rooms and attending Huskie games.

The vaccination requirement extends to all providers and contractors on campus and workplaces in the US.

A three-layer mask is also required at all times on all USask campuses and workplaces. Cloth masks are not approved unless they are placed over a three-layer mask.

The university also requires that all employees who can work from home do so by January 24.
