Improve health services, water and electricity, asks Querétaro to the Federation

Queretaro, Qro. Carrying out improvements to the services for water supply, electricity and health are the issues that the state government raised with the Federation.

Before the visit of the president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, -to commemorate the 105th anniversary of the Political Constitution of 1917-, the governor, Mauricio Kuri González, asked him for support on various priority issues.

Prior to the commemorative act, both leaders met at the State Government Palace, in the Historic Center, where they discussed these three issues in particular.

“The Secretary of the Interior (Adán Augusto López Hernández), to whom (the president) did us the favor of commenting so that he would support us in all the issues we need regarding water, health and electricity. (…) We are going to do the studies together with Adan so that the support comes from them, not only is it the economic support, but also in the process of federal permits, ”he declared.

After the meeting with the president, Kuri Gonzalez He expressed that the state will have the support of the federal government in the various issues that were raised.

“We are going to have all the support from the federal government, a very good relationship, a very good meeting at the Government Palace, to whom I am infinitely grateful for the president’s generosity in accompanying us there, we were talking and that helps us a lot for Querétaro,” exposed.

The governor stressed that it is necessary to improve health services; he assured that the increase in poverty in the state is related to a detriment in health services, particularly after the transition from Seguro Popular to Institute of Health for Wellbeing (Insabi).

“What I want is for there to be a good health service. What I have seen in other states is that in Querétaro the percentage of poverty has increased, it is because the health issue has decreased, at the time they removed Popular Insurance and Insabi entered, the service on health issues was reduced, ”he explained.

Regarding the proposal of federalize health services Through the IMSS Welfare model for the population without social security, Mauricio Kuri said that this initiative would be a possibility in the state if a better provision of services is guaranteed.
