The managing director of International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, tested positive for Covid-19the institution’s spokesman announced on Thursday, stressing that it only presents “mild symptoms.”
“She is working remotely and has isolated herself at home,” Gerry Rice said in a statement, adding that Georgieva is “fully vaccinated” against the coronavirus.
The Bulgarian economist, managing director of the IMF since 2019, is 68 years old.
