Île-aux-Tourtes bridge heading west closed at night during the weekend

The Quebec Ministry of Transport is advising motorists to avoid the following areas this weekend due to extensive road works projects.

Île-aux-Tourtes bridge

Highway 40 westbound will be completely closed between Senneville and Vaudreuil-Dorion from Friday 10 pm to Saturday 7 am, and again from Saturday 10 pm to Sunday 8 am The detour is via des Anciens-Combattants Blvd. and Carretera 20.

La Fontaine tunnel

Southbound Highway 25, including the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel, will be completely closed between Exit 6 on Beaubien St. and Route 132 beginning Saturday at 12:30 a.m. Until Monday at 5 a.m. M. The detour will be for the Jacques-Cartier bridge. Heading north, one of the three lanes will be closed between Route 132 and the end of the tunnel. Given the anticipated difficult traffic situations, drivers are advised to look for a different route to the island of Montreal, such as the Jacques-Cartier Bridge.

Exchange of St-Pierre
