How have some daily consumption products become more expensive?


Inflation continues to show an accelerated trend, pressured by food prices and the energy sector.

In March 2022, the year-on-year inflation rate in Mexico was 7.72%; according to Inegi figures. Some of the fundamental foods in the mexican houseslike onion, avocadothe serrano chili, the lemon and tomato have registered increases in their price level of more than 25%, pushing up the cost of the basic food basket.
