Prime Minister François Legault is on TikTok and your world will never be the same again.
For those who don’t know what TikTok is, it’s the 60-second vertical video social media app that has taken over the world, with trends so strange and dangerous that some people have ended up in the hospital, or worse. You’ll see TikTok videos posted everywhere from Instagram and Twitter to Facebook and Reddit.
Legault’s first post on TikTok shows clips of him saying the same greeting, over and over, in a sort of featured reel of press conferences and video messages. It is a greeting that many Quebecers have heard him say on countless occasions: “Bonjour tout le monde”.
Legault currently has just over 1,100 followers. Interestingly, the prime minister has chosen not to follow any other accounts yet, which is probably a good thing, as no one wants to imagine the Quebec leader scrolling through TikTok all day, trying to determine the odds of going viral if he gets Simon. .
