Healthy workforce: a plan Thursday, Dubé promises

The Legault government will present a plan on Thursday to address the health workforce shortage. However, the bonuses and financial incentives mentioned last week are not at the heart of this strategy now based on a “new management model”.

This new model is inspired by the practices put in place during the vaccination operation, explained the Minister of Health Christian Dubé at a press briefing on Tuesday.

In particular, the Minister wishes to recruit nurses who participated in the vaccination by offering them a work environment of comparable quality.

However, he did not speak about the financial incentives and bonuses mentioned last week by the Prime Minister. Francois Legault to recruit the 4000 nurses who are lacking in the public network.

Mr. Dubé also confirmed that he would present, later in November, a “Mammoth” bill dealing mainly with data and statistics on services.
