Guelph man removed the hood of his stolen vehicle twice and was taken to hospital

GUELPH –

A Guelph man was taken to the hospital Thursday morning after he was thrown from the hood of a stolen vehicle, twice.

Police say he left his car parked outside a business in the Victoria Road South and York Road area just before 7 a.m.

According to the police, while the victim was inside the business, he noticed that the headlights of his car came on. He ran outside while backing out of a parking spot.

Authorities say the victim jumped on the hood and then fell when the driver braked abruptly. Police say the victim then jumped on the hood and was thrown a second time when the driver entered a plaza and braked again.

The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The stolen vehicle is described as a 2017 silver four-door Subaru Impreza STI. It was last seen traveling south on Victoria Road.

The suspect is described as a white male with a slim build, dressed in a dark T-shirt with a large white logo on the front. He was also wearing a baseball cap.

The suspect is believed to have arrived at the parking lot with a second man who left the scene in a small dark-colored four-door car.
