Government of CDMX prepares a new reorganization plan for the Historic Center

The government of Mexico City is preparing a reorganization project for the Historic Centerwhere one of the objectives is to generate better commercial dynamics, reported the head of government, claudia sheinbaum.

Sheinbaum Pardo explained that several proposals are being developed between businessmen, merchants, neighbors and the cabinet of the local central government.

“It is a dialogue with everyone, not only with the street vendor or street vendors, but also, of course, with the business established in the Historic Center,” he assured and after specifying that they will soon present this new plan.

In this sense, she explained that she will also hold a meeting with the established business of Perimeter A of the Historic Center and with this a better dynamic will be generated.

“I have a pending meeting with them that we are going to hold soon, to also be able to talk with them and this work that is being done from the Undersecretary of Government,” he stressed.

Among the points that they seek to comply with, he explained that it is intended that informal commerce respect the areas that, by Bando, cannot be used on public roads.

“So the goal is to keep order and maintain the agreements and the Bandos that had already been established,” he said.

In addition, another point that is being seen is that the situation of the shopping malls that were created for street vendors be known; this was a strategy that sought its formality.

“It has to do with the squares themselves, a review is being made of the squares that were given, what situation they are in now and why they are not in the squares and returned to public space,” he deepened.

Strengthening

The head of government also presented the program “Strengthening the Ambulance System of Mexico City: Saving Lives”.

The new program aims to reduce incident response times by September 2022.

For this reason, 65 ambulances and 50 motorcycles per shift will be enabled, all ambulances will also be regulated, coordination with the mayor’s offices will be increased and care in peripheral areas of the capital will be improved.

“The objective of all this is to have a true Prehospital Emergency System in Mexico City, which has existed, but has never had this characteristic; and the goal, in the end, is to save lives, arrive on time and be able to have a well-coordinated system by the end of this year, by September of this year,” he pointed out.

Claudia Sheinbaum announced that the Private Ambulance Regularization Program is also being opened in Mexico City.

It will be through a regulation and a call, which will allow private individuals to go to a single window.
