Get some Star Wars into your EDC with this new Orbitkey collection

Just this morning, in a pocket near you, Orbitkey, champion of minimalist yet fashionable everyday handbags, launched a new line in collaboration with Lucasfilm to celebrate Star Wars.

Admittedly, as an opening tune, it might not be the most exciting thing in the world (although it sure beats the “Let’s visit the bankers for tariffs!” from Episode I). But Orbitkey’s new collection of key organizers tastefully uses high-quality color and material combinations, inspired by characters both old and new.

The Boba Fett Key Organizer uses camo nylon combined with a maroon leather interior, with gunmetal hardware. I’ll be honest, out of the four, it’s the least successful for me. I would have gone with an olive green, personally. I think camo is very likely to be confused with, well, any other camo-colored keychain.

A much more attractive original trilogy-inspired organizer is the Emperor Palpatine version, with a black saffiano leather exterior and royal purple leather interior. It is quite striking in the hand.

If you prefer new school Star Wars characters, Orbitkey has you covered there too with two organizers celebrating characters from the mandalorian.

The Mando organizer is probably my favorite of the bunch, if only because the charcoal crazy horse leather is buttery smooth in the hand and looks amazing. The interior is brown leather and the hardware is shiny silver, just like his Beskar armor.

You can’t have Mando without Grogu, so the latest organizer features light tan suede with light green stitching and a leather lining. He does an excellent job of evoking the aesthetic of “The Kid’s.”

All four organizers are limited editions that come in a special retail box with information cards and line drawings of each character. The whole presentation is quite impressive and belies the careful consideration on Orbitkey’s part. It would have been a simple thing to stamp “Orbitkey + Star Wars” on the inside of a black or orange organizer and call it a day. But the company went to great lengths to make collectibles that are fun and nerdy, while still being cool on their own.

And this is just the beginning. Orbitkey teased that more Star Wars collaborations are on the way, across his product range. If all of these first four deals are that good, I can’t wait to see what’s next.

You can reserve the Star Wars Orbitkey Collection organizers of your site starting today, May 4 (of course). Each costs around $45 and will ship on May 25. If you’re looking for a stylish and subtle way to incorporate a little more Star Wars into your EDC, these organizers are a must.
