German vaccine committee recommends booster doses against Covid-19 for young people aged 12 to 17

The German Vaccine Committee STIKO recommended Thursday that all teenagers between the ages of 12 and 17 receive a booster dose from covid-19 vaccine.

The committee said the third dose should be the injection of mRNA from BioNTech Y Pfizer and that it should be given at the earliest three months after the child has received the second injection.

STIKO had updated its guidelines in August to recommend that all children and adolescents aged 12 to 17 receive the Covid-19 vaccine.
