Gavà, Pyrenees and Tarragona: 3 gastronomic events in May to salivate

GastroGavà (until May 8)

GastroPyrenees is an itinerant event that, in its seventh edition, will be held at the Hotel Vall de Núria, where producers, oenologists, sommeliers, farmers, gastronomes and chefs from all over the Catalan and Andorran Pyrenees.

More than 20 professionals from avant-garde and traditional cuisine with a great denominator in common: the appreciation for the product of the territory. Chefs such as Joel Castanyé, from La Silvestre (Bellvís), who will present his avant-garde cuisine with traditional roots, will cook live; the revelation chef 2021, Eli Farrero, from Lo Ventador (Barruera); Núria Bonet, from Ca la Núria (Bellver de la Cerdanya); the chef of the Toques Blanches Roussillon-Occitanie collective Alain Delprat, from La Yucca (Perpinyà); Joseba Cruz, from Le Clandestine (Navàs); and Axier Arbilla and Toda Parejo, from Arbeletxe (La Seu d’Urgell), among others.

Fira Àpat (from May 7 to 9)

Fira Àpat, the professional food and gastronomy fair of Camp de Tarragona and Terres de l’Ebre, will take place from May 7 to 9 at the Tarragona fairgrounds. It is aimed at professionals and lovers of Catalan gastronomy: Producers and processors present their products to professionals in the sector and final consumers. The cook Gessamí Caramés, from ‘Cuines’ (TV-3), will be the godmother of the fair, which will feature more than 70 exhibitors and two areas with 40 activities where you can enjoy ‘showcookings’, talks and workshops.
