With COVID-19 cases increasing in the province due to the Omicron variant, Thursday night’s game was held at the Bell Center between the Canadiens and the Philadelphia Flyers, but without spectators. And Saturday night’s contest, also in Montreal, against the Boston Bruins has been postponed, although the Bruins have several players who tested positive.

Beterbiev, 16-0 with 16 knockouts, is involved in the 12-round main event against American challenger Marcus Browne (24-1, 16 KOs). There are nine other matches on the card, scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

Michel said he expected between 4,000 and 5,000 fans to attend.
