France and Spain tighten COVID-19 restrictions for US tourists

The list of restrictions for people traveling from the United States to Europe increases as members of the European Union apply new rules amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Belgium and Spain will require proof of vaccination, but Americans can enter for nonessential tourism with their certificate.
  • Bulgaria, Denmark and Sweden have banned travel from the United States, regardless of whether they are vaccinated or not.
