Foo Fighters to head Osheaga in 2022

After two canceled editions, the festival hopes to make a full return in July 2022.

Foo Fighters will headline Osheaga next summer.

Dave Grohl and company are the first confirmed act for the 15th edition of the festival, which is scheduled for July 29-31, 2022.

No further events have been announced, but tickets will go on sale on Friday, December 3.

If it goes ahead as planned, the 2022 edition will be a return to summer prominence for Osheaga, which was forced to cancel its 2020 and 2021 editions.

Foo Fighters were scheduled to perform in the 2020 and 2021 editions of the festival.

“We put up with all we could to try to do it this year,” Evenko Senior Vice President Nick Farkas told the Montreal Gazette following the cancellation of the 2021 festival. “We are very disappointed, but we are resilient and we will come back and crush it in 2022 “.

The festival returned in a different form this fall, like the miniaturized Osheaga Get Together, with a roster of Canadian acts like Charlotte Cardin, Jessie Reyez and Half Moon Run.
