Five males shot, two dead as bullets fly at Oshawa bar

Police say two people were killed and three injured in a shooting at a bar in Oshawa overnight.

Durham Regional Police say the incident happened on Saturday around 12:45 am at the BLVD restaurant and bar, at 1812 Simcoe St. N.

Officers were called to the area after reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, they identified five victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

Cops say one male was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. A second male was taken to a Toronto trauma center in critical condition and later died.

The three remaining victims were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and were released.

Police say they are speaking with witnesses and will provide a suspect description when one becomes available.
