Fitness, sustainability and traditional dishes, among the novelties of RTVE-Catalunya

The year 2022 is presented for RTVE in Catalonia with a restructuring in two time slots, the morning and afternoon, as well as a clear commitment to culture and information with programs already consolidated such as ‘Café d’Idees’, ‘Obrim fil’ and ‘Punts de vista’. These are joined, as of January 10, by fresh and varied proposals: the ‘fitness coach’ space‘Cesc Escolà’ FitMés’; the sustainability program ‘Planet R’, with Martina Klein, Y ‘The lost recipe‘, in which Sílvia Abril travels around Catalonia collecting recipes and stories. The commitment to Catalan also goes a step further, with the dubbing of Saturday’s movie from La 2 of ‘prime time’ and children’s space ‘Los Lunnis’, in addition to new documentaries from ‘Great Documentaries’.

‘FitMore’ recovers the prominence achieved by the televised fitness (without going back to Eva Nasarre) during the lockdown (‘Move at home’) with exercise suggestions and nutrition and eating advice. The media coach (he was from ‘OT 2020’ and the aforementioned ‘Move …’) will have famous companions, among which are Miki Núñez, Ada Perellada and Sister Lucía Caram. The space will be offered by the free digital platform RTVE Play on Mondays (8.00 am) and the session will be repeated every Saturdays at La 2 (11.30 am).

Martina Klein embarks on the ‘road movie’ entitled ‘Planet R’ (in La 2, still without day or time of broadcast), to deal with the great environmental challenges and the initiatives that are being carried out in Catalonia to take care of the planet. Inspiring and funny stories at the same time. Also runs Catalonia the actress Sílvia Abril, but by bike, with ‘The Lost Recipe’ (La 2, Sunday, 13.30) in search of traditional dishes that are in danger of extinction. In addition to recipes, collect little big stories.

More Catalan

In the midst of the current debate on the protection of Catalan, the current director of RTVE in Catalonia, Oriol You don’t want, is proud of a new step in its use: as of January 15, the 2 will broadcast the Saturday night movie dubbed into Catalan, while the Spanish version will be offered simultaneously on the RTVE Play platform. Also, on day 5, King’s Night, La 2 will premiere four episodes of the ‘Lunnis’ for the first time in Catalan, and with their original voices, since they are all Catalan actors. It also continues with the dubbing of four new series of the informative program ‘Great documentaries’ (Saturdays, 12.00).

In the news section there is a significant novelty: The incorporation of a sports information presenter, a figure who had been absent for almost a decade. The person in charge of inaugurating this new stage is the journalist Albert Font. Also a program will have a change of schedule and channel: ‘The vespre ‘can be seen on Monday and Friday at 7:00 p.m. (before 8:00 p.m.) and it will be for the Canal 24. For the rest, they continue with new seasons in La 2 el ‘Café d’idees’, by Gemma Nierga; the cultural space of Tània Sarrias ‘Points of view’, that happens to be daily; the program about ‘Helvètica’ design, presented by Flora Saura, Y ‘Obrim fil’, with Xavier Sardà and Mònica Boada to the front, among other spaces.
