The General Prosecutor of the Republic (FGR) reported that it carried out searches ordered by a judge in Zapopan, Jalisco, where he seized dozens of luxury vehicles and motorcycles, as well as drug of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
The searches were carried out last week by elements of the Specialized Prosecutor for Organized Crime (Femdo).
The Federal Public Ministry (MPF) of the Femdo collected test data that allowed identifying various properties as possible sources of violence, so elements of the National Guard (GN), in the company of official experts, carried out search procedures, which were previously authorized by judges.
In an address located in the Universidad neighborhood, Zapopan, Jalisco, 1,000 doses of methamphetamine, a firearm long, three magazines, three cartridges, 14 luxury vehicles, one motorcycle, three cellphones and various documentation.
In a second home located in a subdivision of the same municipality, 500 methamphetamine packages, a long firearm, three chargers, 27 cartridges, seven vehicles and electronic equipment were seized. In a third building in the University neighborhood, 1,500 packages with solid and crystalline substance apparently methamphetamine, four vehicles and electronic equipment were secured.
Once the proceedings were concluded, the properties were sealed to continue with the investigations that derive from the case; while the insured was at the disposal of the MPF, who will request the corresponding expert opinions.
“It should be noted that the operational deployments were carried out in strict adherence to the protocols of police action, use of public force and respect for human rights, without achieving the arrest of any person,” said the FGR.
