I confess: I am accomplice in the murder of William Shakespeare. We were the majority. The author is being executed, with premeditation and treachery, in L’amansi(pa)ment de les fúries’, in the Off program of the La Villaroel theater. The director and playwright Carla Rovira Pitarch has taken the text of The Taming of the Shrew ‘from the English genius and has crumpled it, she has formed a large ball of intense purple color -very, very intense- and practices with it a provocative, transgressive and delirious game, which reminds us of the demystifying power of laughter. We laugh and the hooligan spirit is awakened. We laugh and redouble our strength. We laugh and give a kick the patriarchy.
