Facilitate procedures in Jalisco to attract capital and employment

Guadalajara, Jalisco. Two years after the installation of the Health Board in the state, which determined to start the confinement due to the Covid-19 pandemic before the rest of the country did, Jalisco is among the first places nationwide in indicators as the generation of employment and attraction of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), from the process of economic reactivation.

According to the records of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), last February 13,463 formal jobs were created in Jalisco, while from August 2020 – when the economic reactivation began – until February 2022, 131,978 were created in the entity. new job positions.

Meanwhile, in the last quarter of 2021, Jalisco captured 763.1 million dollars of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), with which it ranked second in the nation with the largest foreign capital capture during that period.


To encourage the opening of companies and the consequent generation of employment in the entity, the Secretariat of Economic Development (Sedeco) installed the Business Contact Center, a single window through which approximately 600 procedures will be managed and advised in the whole state.

“What is sought is that opening and operating companies in Jalisco is easier. This center will function as a link of information and accompaniment for those who request support, financing and training to grow and start new productive projects in our state”, said the head of Sedeco, Roberto Arechederra.

The center’s advisors will show those interested how to use the digital tools offered by both the government of Jalisco and the different municipalities of the entity to manage procedures, as well as to access the calls and financial support available, financing from the Jalisco Fund for Business Development (Fojal), training and workshops, among others.
