Expenditure Budget of the Federation 2022 compromises the future of Jalisco: CMIC

Guadalajara, Jal. “The lack of federal investment in public works compromises the future of Jalisco and that of our future generations ”, denounced the president in the state of Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry (CMIC), Carlos Del Río Madrigal.

When doing an analysis of the Federation Expenditure Budget (PEF) By 2022, the leader of the builders in the entity affirmed that Jalisco will be the eighth entity in the country with the least budget in Chapter 6000 of public investment, just above Zacatecas, Morelos, Aguascalientes, Tlaxcala, Colima, Quintana Roo and Michoacan.

“As part of Chapter 6000, next year little more than 523,000 million pesos will be spent on public works; This bag has been distributed in 16 branches for the execution of expenditure, where 71% will be executed in works in the branch of Mexican oil”, Indicated the president of CMIC.

Added that Jalisco will receive only 799.6 million pesos, which means that, of each peso of public investment of chapter 6000, “Pemex it will spend 71 cents and among 32 entities, Jalisco will receive less than 0.15 cents ”.

The leader of the builders in the entity also highlighted that Jalisco is one of the states without resources labeled in the delegation of the Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT).

Per capita

“In the same way, Jalisco It is one of the most inhabited states with the most needs, so it cannot be among the three states with the lowest per capita budget in the public works chapter of the federal budget ”, stated the president of CMIC.

According to PEF 2022Jalisco would only receive 95 pesos per inhabitant for public works, while the national average exceeds 10,000 pesos per inhabitant.

“In the CMIC Jalisco We believe that this budget deal compromises the economic reactivation, compromises our industry and its workers. This budget compromises the future development of all economic sectors because, as we have already said before, without building infrastructure we will not have the foundations to develop any economic or social activity ”, Del Río Madrigal pointed out.

Reiterated that Jalisco it should receive better budgetary treatment in matters of public investment and called for initiating the discussion on the need to institutionalize a national public investment policy with fair, equitable and transparent coordination mechanisms.

“We require a public investment policy away from political struggles and with rules and processes, with clear sources of financing and rules for its distribution. This is how the lost six-year terms in infrastructure for some states would end ”, he pointed out.
