ERC agrees with the Government the audiovisual law and allows the approval of the Budgets

ERC and the Government have already agreed on how to force the foreign audiovisual platforms so that they have to offer in their catalog a minimum of productions in the co-official languages. Finally, Republicans have found a formula that includes a fund to subsidize the realization of these works and have forgotten their requirement to impose a quota, since the European directive prevents national legislation from being applied to international platforms.

Sources of the republican group in Congress have briefly reported in a statement that they have managed to “guarantee” the protection of Catalan in the new audiovisual law and that, in return, it will allow the General State Budgets to be processed.
