American actress Mary Mara has died after apparently drowning in the St. Lawrence River over the weekend, according to reports.
Mara drowned while swimming in the river, according to a statement New York State Police on June 27, citing its preliminary investigation.
The reality star, 61, had been visiting her sister, according to her brother-in-law Scott Dailey.
His body was discovered by officers around 8 a.m. Sunday after receiving a possible drowning call.
The preliminary investigation into his death showed no signs of foul play, authorities said. His body was taken to the Jefferson County Medical Examiner’s Office in New York for an autopsy.
Mara, who lived in Cape Vincent, was a native of Syracuse.
