Environment Canada Issues Wind Advisory for Calgary – Calgary | The Canadian News

Environment Canada issued a wind advisory for Calgary and surrounding areas Tuesday night.

The agency expects “strong and damaging westerly winds” with gusts of up to 110 kilometers per hour for the southern foothills.

The winds are expected to ease on Wednesday.

“Damage to buildings can occur, such as roof tiles and windows. Strong winds can throw loose objects or cause tree branches to break, ”said Environment Canada.

“Be prepared to adjust your driving to changing road conditions due to high winds.”
