Entering the third year of the pandemic, ILO prepares new report on employment trends

Entering the third year of the Covid-19 pandemic, the International Labor Organization (ILO) announced that it will release a new study regarding the world’s social and employment prospects, Trends 2022.

Next Monday, January 17, it will be made public worldwide, highlighting the consequences of the labor market disturbance caused by the crisis and will analyze global trends, regional differences and the results between economic sectors and groups of workers.

The report also offers projections of the labor market for 2022 and 2023, and outlines principles for a recovery strategy based on the Global Call to Action for a people-centred recovery from the Covid-19 crisis that is inclusive, sustainable and resilient , adopted in June 2021 by the 187 Member States of the ILO.
