End of mandatory mask on Carnival cruises as of March 1

The cruise company Carnival will relax its sanitary measures as of March for its ships which sail in American waters.

Among these reductions, wearing a mask will no longer be required, but will be recommended from March 1, according to a press release issued by the company.

Passengers may, however, be required to wear face coverings in certain venues and events.

The company will also continue to require its passengers to be vaccinated.

Some relaxations in the rules around drug testing before cruise ships depart will also come into effect.

The cruise lines affected by these reliefs are Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, Carnival Cruise Line and Seabourn.
