[EN DIRECT] Federal leaders’ debate in English: “The Quebec nation is under attack”, argues François Legault

The Premier of Quebec, François Legault, hammered Friday that it was his “duty” to defend the Quebec nation, the day after the debate in English of federal leaders.

“I will certainly not apologize for defending our language, our values, our powers, it is even my duty,” said Mr. Legault.

Premier Legault also hopes that the consortium will “correct the situation” after the moderator’s remarks about Quebec.

“The Quebec nation is under attack in its jurisdictions (…) I think that the least that we can expect from a premier of Quebec say for a moment, it is incompetable,” he reiterated.
