Elgin County OPP Identifies Fatal Crash Victim North of St. Thomas – London | The Canadian News

Ontario Provincial Police identified the young woman who died as a result of a two-vehicle accident near St. Thomas on Thursday.

Around 8:45 a.m. Thursday, officers along with firefighters and emergency medical services responded to a collision on the Ron McNeil line east of Highbury Avenue in downtown Elgin, the OPP said.

Both drivers were taken to hospital, where one was later pronounced dead.

The deceased has now been identified as 22-year-old Olivia Vaseleniuck.

Police say the second driver was treated for minor injuries and has since been released.

The West Region OPP and Elgin County OPP Traffic Incident Management and Control Team are continuing to investigate.
