Elements do not accept apologies from Sandra Cuevas

The mayor in Cuauhtémoc, Sandra Cuevas, resumed her activities as an official, although in the next few hours a control judge will have to define whether she complied with offering a formal public apology, or reinstates the suspension of her position.

The official offered a public apology to three managers of the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Mexico City (SSC-CDMX), although she said she did not recognize that she ordered the theft of their communication equipment, which locked them in an auditorium of the mayor’s office and he hurled insults at them.

However, the coordinator of advisers and spokesperson for the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office, Ulises Lara López, stated that the three heads of the SSC-CDMX did not accept the apology offered by the official, for which a judge of control must define whether Sandra Cuevas complied with the characteristics ordered when issuing the public apology.

The Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office requested that next Tuesday, March 29, a new hearing where the breach of the public apology is exposed.
