Grupo Elektra, a company dedicated to the business of specialized stores and financial services, owned by Grupo Salinas, more than doubled its operating flow (EBITDA) in the third quarter of 2021, compared to the same period last year, when various commercial chains registered losses due to less mobility in the face of the health contingency.
EBITDA increased 151.68% to 5,557 million pesos, compared to 2,308 million pesos in the same period but in 2020.
Sales rose 19.76% in the quarter, to 35,504 million pesos, compared to 29,646 million pesos in the third quarter of 2020.
Profits were driven by a 25% increase in the financial business and a 14% increase in the commercial one.
In the third quarter, it earned 999 million pesos, which contrasts with the losses of 1,636 million pesos in the same period of 2020.
