Electric vehicle show: let’s go!

After a forced break last year due to the pandemic, the Montreal Electric Vehicle Show (SVEM) will resume service from September 17 to 19 at Olympic Stadium.

Visitors will be able to discover several new models, including the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo, the Polestar 2, the Audi Q4 e-tron, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 and the Imperium ET5, a Chinese vehicle that will soon be available on the Canadian market.

In addition to the major automotive innovations, the SVEM will present several alternative modes of transport powered by electricity. In particular, you can discover motorcycles, scooters, bicycles and battery scooters.

For this fourth edition, it will be possible to test various electric vehicles. Visitors will also be able to discover Tesla’s Summon semi-autonomous driving system and participate in a free CAA-Quebec clinic on battery health.

A first since March 2020

The holding of a large-scale exhibition such as the SVEM represents the first major indoor event of its kind in Canada since the spring of 2020, when health measures related to COVID-19 were in place.

The SVEM organizers obtained the authorization to hold the event by applying rules comparable to those of a shopping center. Wearing a mask, physical distancing and hand washing will obviously be compulsory. The vaccination passport will be required in food courts and for a road test.

After Montreal, the Electric Vehicle Show will be presented at the Center de foires de Québec from October 1 to 3.
