Eight million people watched the bioseries about Vicente Fernández at its premiere


“The last king, The son of the people”, the bioseries on Vicente Fernandez, made by Televisapremiered last Monday, March 14, ranking as the broadcast with the highest audience in its time slot, reaching 8 million viewers.

The Televisa series is based on the play “The Last King”, written by Argentine journalist Olga Wornat, and it presents the most important moments in the life of the so-called “charro de Huentitán” and his family.

Little-known passages, kidnappings and clandestine love affairs, and his impressive career that placed him as one of the most important interpreters of Mexican music, are some of the topics that the series addresses.

Even before its launch, the bioseries generated enormous controversy due to the lawsuit filed by the Fernández family to try to prevent its dissemination.

The production of John Osoriofeatures the performances of Paul Montero, Salvador Sanchez, Iliana Fox, Emilio Osorio, Ivan Arana, Jesus More, Alexandra Ambrossi, Vince Miranda and Cesar Evora.

The first season of “The Last King, The Son of the People”is broadcast from Monday to Friday, at 8:30 on channel 2 of Televisa.
