Eight families had to be relocated on Monday morning following a fire that broke out in an apartment building in the west of the island of Montreal.
According to firefighters, the fire started around 6 a.m. in the building located on Pierrefonds Boulevard, near Saint-Charles Boulevard, in the Pierrefonds-Roxboro borough.
No one was injured during the incident.
A second alarm was triggered, mobilizing around 70 firefighters to fight the blaze.
The cause of the incident was not known in the morning.
