The Ice District was alive with Edmonton Oilers fans Saturday night.

In Downtown bar and restaurant windows, Oilers colors were on display. Pickup trucks with giant flags and orange foam fingers sticking out of sunroofs could be seen and chanting could be heard.
Fans flocked to Ice District Plaza to watch Game 7 of the Oilers versus LA Kings NHL playoff series. Jesse and Neil Pandya, who were dressed head to shoes in Oilers colours, we’re hoping for an Oilers’ win.
“It’s exciting, but also nerve-racking. I didn’t sleep the last two nights since Game 6,” said Jesse.
Neil feels that the Oilers shouldn’t be in this position because they’re a better team.
“That being said, this is the stuff dreams are made of… it’s going to be that much better to win in Edmonton,” said Neil.
When asked if they think that the team will win tonight, Neil answered, “It’s going to happen. It’s fait accompli.”
Lifelong Oilers fan David Thomas, sporting a signed jersey and some Oilers-themed facepaint is hoping to see no more heartbreak this season.
“(A win) needs to happen. How long can we keep McDavid, how long can we keep Draisaitl? They deserve a cup and we got to give it to them,” said Thomas.
