Economic activity in Mexico lost pace and stagnated in February

Mexico’s economy continues to face significant pressures in its post-pandemic recovery process. The IGAE (Global Indicator of Economic Activity) registered a growth of just 0.4% in January 2022, while for February it remained without advances.

Commerce and services were the sector that pushed the level of economic activity out of negative territory, but the agricultural sector and industries prevented it from advancing.

It is expected that at the end of the year, Mexico will register a growth of GDP between 1 and 3 percent.
