Foreign Secretary, Marcelo Ebrardreported this afternoon that according to the Mexican consul in New York, Jorge Lopez Islandsthere is no national among the victims of the shooting that occurred this Saturday morning in a grocery store in Buffalo.
Through his Twitter account, the foreign minister expressed his “condolences” to those affected “in this terrible tragedy that, once again, puts on the table the urgent need to restrict the availability of weapons,” he wrote on the social network.

An 18-year-old gunman shot and killed 10 people and wounded three others Saturday at a grocery store in Buffalo, New York, before turning himself in to police.
The shooting is being investigated as a hate crime, Stephen Belongia, a special agent with the FBI’s Buffalo office, told reporters.
For his part, Consul Jorge Islas López assured that he will remain attentive to provide more information as soon as something new arises.
