Élections Montréal confirmed that a total of 54 people received councilor ballots for the François-Perreault district instead of those for the St-Michel district at three polling places, including Maison des Sourds, École St-Noël and Collège Reine-Marie .

Élections Montreal spokeswoman Mathilde St-Vincent said the problem only occurred in the Villeray-St-Michel-Parc-Extension district and teams acted quickly to resolve it. All affected voters were contacted Saturday night and three had returned to vote again, he said.

“It was only the ballots for the city council position that were affected,” St-Vincent said. “It is important to remember that Montreal is one of the largest municipal voting operations in Canada.”

Polls for municipal elections are open from 9:30 am to 8 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Everything you need to know about the election can be found here, and the voting procedures can be found here.
